In fact, it is the deficiency of this nutrient in the body that is the leading cause of the development of diabetes.
And studies reveal that an increase in consuming dietary magnesium will defend against this disorder.
In case you’re wondering, magnesium can be described as a nutrient that plays a vital role in various functions of the body so that they may perform optimally.
And now studies have shown that magnesium can greatly reduce diabetes risk.

For example, a study was done where 120,000 individuals were analysed over a period of several decades.

The best forms of magnesium to take in are magnesium malate, magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate.
They absorb better into your body. You want supplements that have either of these forms of magnesium.
The worst forms of magnesium to take are magnesium carbonate, magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide (a laxative, also known as milk of magnesia).
These do not absorb as well when in the body.
