Today we’ll tackle another important topic: balance.
If you find it challenging to balance children, work, relationships with friends and significant others, church, and everything else in your busy life then you’re not alone.
Because I face the same challenges myself. At times it can feel overwhelming.
So what’s the best way to handle it?
Find a way to organize the chaos.
Personally I use God’s rule. He says to Honor Him first.
After the Lord comes my significant other, then my children. Followed by my job and my friends.
Organizing my priorities in that order works wonders for me.
After that, things just seem to fall into place.
The next priority is my significant other.
There needs to be an open line of communication to discuss shared goals and how to raise the children you already have or may have in the future.
I find that when I lose this organization is when things get out of whack and life is more stressful.
I get headaches or I feel anxious. These are symptoms telling me that things are out of balance.
When I go back to following God’s rule and honoring Him first, everything falls back into place. My life is more organized and less chaotic.
I’m not suggesting this is the ONLY solution. I’m sharing what works for me.
As an adult, you are capable of setting your own priorities.
Deep down inside we all know what is causing any imbalance in our lives.
It could be working too much. It could be not setting aside enough quality time for your significant other or for your children.
Ultimately it’s your responsibility to fix the situation. And I’m suggesting that finding a way to organize your life and the priorities in your life will go a long way towards achieving your goals.
Try it this week. I think you’ll be thrilled with the results.
